Medium Picture Large Picture Comments: Previous marks include Bureau number 84029 (Navy designation P2B-1S) and USAF serial 45-21787. The mission markings denote test flights carrying the Douglas D-558-II Skyrocket research aircraft. This aircraft was later sold to the Kermit Weeks' Fantasy of Flight museum in Polk City, Florida. However only its nose is on display there, with the remainder of the airframe reportedly stored in California.
