Leuchars Air Show

Making it's return after runway resurfacing in 2007 forced the air show to be cancelled, the weather for the 2008 air show, as with a lot of air shows during the 2008 show season, caused a few upsets.

The best weather of the weekend was on Friday, arrivals day, when the sun made brief appearances. Saturday unfortunately was very overcast and dark, limiting the Vulcan XH558 to just two fast taxi runs while the Battle of Britain Historic Flight had to cancel entirely.

Other stars of the show apart from XH558 were the USAF Boeing E-8 J-STARS and an RAF 3(F) Sqn Typhoon loaded out with 6 Paveway LGB's.
