In August 2011 the second edition of Eric Coeckelberghs Aviation PhotoCrew Air to Air Academy was held at Zoersel (Oostmalle) airfield in northern Belgium, IrishAirPics returned for another weekend of fun and photography.
A special treat was laid on for us returning photographers in the shape of a pair of Royal Netherlands Air Force F-16's from 311 and 312 Squadrons, based at Volkel, wearing special tail markings to commemorate the two squadron's 60th anniversary.
This was the first flight by both aircraft in these special markings so it was a real privilege to be able to photograph them air to air.
To get an idea of what it is like to have a pair of F-16's cavorting for the cameras behind a Skyvan below are 3 videos made by another photographer who was on the Skyvan, Adam Marx.

A big thank you goes to...
Eric Coeckelberghs, Frank Crebas, Michael de Boer, and all the other Aviation PhotoCrew members who made this flight possible.
